It’s a beautiful day up at the farm. There’s a cloudless blue sky. A kestrel hovers over the field.
“You can’t go on holiday looking like that,” the panther says, staring at me. “You’re too fat for all your summer clothes and…”
“It’s not my fault,” I say. “It’s the radiotherapy. Anyway: I’m doing plenty of exercise so…”
“It’s no wonder Seb split up with you,” the panther says, stretching himself out along a log. “You’re disgusting.”
“Stop it,” I say. A tear runs down my cheek. Am missing Seb so much.
However, there is Hope. Dr Stein called Mum and am going to be allowed to start the new drug when return from holiday. So maybe it will get rid of the panther.
