Till The End Of The Day*

Am stretched out on the swinging seat in the garden.  It’s 5.18pm and the birds are singing.  Wood pigeons coo, blackbirds trill, blue tits cheep.  Am wearing a pair of tiny shorts and a vest top in a last-ditch bid to acquire a tan before setting off for Abroad at 8.15am tomorrow.

In an unprecedented move: we are getting a taxi to the airport, so that’s exciting.  Usually we park about fifty miles away and take a bus to the terminal but we can’t do that this time as we’re returning to a different airport.

Here are my Minx toes:

Here is the cherry tree at the bottom of the garden:

We take the fluffy monster to the Cattery and arrive as it opens at nine o’clock this morning.  He settles straight down in his bed with his elephant and rat.  Hope he is having a good day and will enjoy his holiday.  The house and garden seem quiet and deserted without him.

Have packed and repacked.  Need to paint nails and have a bath and wash hair as there won’t be time in the morning.

Dr Stein is pleased with me when we see him at eleven o’clock this morning.  He is happy that mood remains up.  Fingers crossed that it doesn’t spike upwards on holiday.  Or, of course, drop – as it’s scheduled to do soon.  Have packed all my ten different types of pills in my hand luggage so can’t become separated from them.

Now will paint nails and then watch the Davis Cup Doubles recorded earlier.

Tomorrow need to add some things to the packing:

  1. Phone charger.
  2. Charged external phone battery.
  3. Face cream.
  4. Other last-minute-essentials, whatever they may be.
  5. Brain probably.

Happy Saturday everyone!
