It’s six o’clock in the evening and it’s still snowing. Show you my garden:
Wake up to snow that has fallen in the night. It’s a real struggle this morning to leave my warm bed and go to the gym. You may think that I always bounce to the gym in a spirit of excitement, but when it’s zero degrees and snowing I really don’t want to go.
Eventually I dress and order an Uber and once I’m there I do all my weights and my physiotherapy exercises. Then walk to the off licence to purchase The Sunday Times; sparkling water; milk and porridge.
Make a toasted sandwich for lunch and eat it whilst reading the Style. Meditate but can’t sleep.
At 3.30pm, give up trying to sleep, make a coffee and switch computer on. Write the first 2018 words of The Paedo Files. Am so pleased with self for starting it. It feels wonderful to begin a new writing project. Want to make a good start before going to Abroad to see brother, which is in ten days’ time now.
Have just cut up and eaten an orange. I’m going to post this and then watch the programme about Scotland’s new polar bear cub at seven o’clock. At eight o’clock it’s the first episode of the new series of The Durrells. Excited!
Am listening to Lamb’s album Between Darkness And Wonder and drinking lemon squash.
The attached photo is today’s gym outfit.
Happy Sunday everyone!
