The Praying Mantises*

Sitting on my private terrace this morning, a hooded crow flies in to sit with me. Here he is:

It is going to be horrible to leave not only brother but also this lovely weather. Am dreading returning to the single digit weather of home. Must make some sort of plan to cope with low mood and bad weather on my return…

Have just been summoned downstairs to see a praying mantis. Look:

Someone is enjoying his holiday at the cattery – look:

Have spent quite a lot of time sitting outside today but still have no tan. Am sitting on my terrace again now.

Have actually achieved something: have reviewed The Women Who Flew For Hitler on Amazon and Goodreads so the author, my chum Clare Mulley, is pleased with me.

Next need to do this for Falling Short by Lex Coulton which is a brilliant book but as I’ve read a proof copy there is no page for the book yet on Amazon or Goodreads. So must wait for appearance of book page before can write review.

The WiFi is very slow outside. Have come in to upload photos and am lying on the rug by the patio door. The panther lies on the rug next to me, staring at me with huge amber eyes.

This morning when I go for a walk with Mum we see a Palestine Sunbird and a jay.

In other wildlife news: have a massive mosquito bite on leg which hurts.

Tonight Passover is over (yay) and we are going to a vegan restaurant for dinner.

Happy Friday everyone!

You fancy lunch some time? Or will that make you dread returning even more?
