Centre Court Murder*

After I go to bed last night I am horribly sick. This is the first time for a while, but I vomit up my supper and lunch. Fall asleep curled around my precious Fluffball.

Mum brings me my pills at nine oโ€™clock when Fluffball goes off duty. Unfortunately, vomit ๐Ÿคฎ up all my pills so have a bad night of sleeping.

This morning: work hard at Barre and talk to my teacher and chums. Then speak to psychiatrist who thinks that the sickness is a one-off. Letโ€™s hope heโ€™s right.

Good news from my Agent who wants to go ahead with the Memoir. She wants the Editor we used to copy-edit it too, which seems a good idea. After all the struggles am having with my health, itโ€™s great to have some Good News.

Watch Angelique Kerber beat Coco Gauff which is a good match. Now Iโ€™m back in bed with my furry nurse. Heโ€™s sitting under my dressing table and Iโ€™m sitting up in bed, using my special cushion so I can post this, then Tarot Card of the Day and then read Something Fresh for a bit. Hopefully, if I can sit up after meals for a bit, I wonโ€™t feel sick.

Mum helps me have my bath ๐Ÿ› for the first time in a few days.

Parents are watching Roger but I canโ€™t stay up any longer. Fingers crossed that am not sick tonight.

Happy Monday everyone!

A Madness Of Sunshine*

Wake up at about six oโ€™clock this morning and do my Tarot Card For The Day:

Have to be at cancer hospital for blood ๐Ÿฉธ tests and there is terrible traffic: what should be a ten minute journey takes forty five!

Work really hard at Barre and then we go to my parental friends for lunch (see top photo). Itโ€™s another hot, sunny day.

During lunch, someone phones from the cancer hospital ๐Ÿฅ to say that my platelets are low – 52 – so I canโ€™t have chemo tomorrow. I feel quite despondent about this.

Meditate and have a short sleep. Now am at cancer hospital waiting to see radiologist. Canโ€™t wait to return to bed.

Go in to see radiologist. Am so tired. Show him the burn on my back and tell him that the back pain is still severe. He says that the treatment works in nine out of ten people, but, yet again, Iโ€™m in the group for which things donโ€™t work. Cry ๐Ÿ˜ญ. He says I must be very tired and that heโ€™s sorry that the treatment hasnโ€™t worked. He is a nice man.

At home, Mum finds Fluffball in the back garden and maybe he will come and see me after his supper.

Happy Monday everyone!

Drinking: A Love Story*

Here is my precious angel Fluffball before he is allowed out this morning:

Have a good nightโ€™s sleep from half past to half past five.

We visit Burstonโ€™s Garden ๐ŸชดCentre for the first time since Lockdown. Is great to be back there.

My friend @snakesinthegrass sends me an amazing present from America which I will show you tomorrow.

Have breakfast and do my Tarot Card of the Day from my new deck which is a gift from a kind friend in California.

Work hard at Barre and chat to my teachers and friends afterwards.

Meditate. Have a long sleep after lunch.

Wake up and have coffee and then supper at quarter to five this afternoon.โ€™

Radiologist calls and says that if Iโ€™m having difficulty swallowing itโ€™s from the radiotherapy and that that and the burning feeling on my back will get better within ten days so thatโ€™s something.

Have to go to bed now: itโ€™s nine oโ€™clock.

Happy Monday everyone!

Cat & Mouse*

Last night we watch Rafa’s match. He beats new kid on the block Rublev in straight sets. Is good to see darling Rafa playing well.

Work hard at Barre this morning. Then have chemotherapy. There is a lot of waiting around for my blood test results. Read Glamorous Powers. Eventually start my chemo drip. Watch the start of Novak vs Diego.

Come home, meditate and sleep. Wake up and talk to brother over Zoom but it’s frustrating as can’t hear him properly.

Tonight is Zverev vs Medvedev. It’s good to have some tennis to watch.

Fluffball has been sleeping for most of the day.

Happy Monday everyone!

The Cats Came Back*

Wake up and do Barre over Zoom. Feel not very well today: quite a lot of nausea.

Talk to my psychiatrist over Zoom. It is good to talk to him.

After lunch, go for a drive with Mum through Shenley to Sopwell. Come home, cuddle Fluffball, then have a long sleep till four o’clock.

Fluffball is not pleased as he’s not allowed his full ration of food yet. And of course he’s still not allowed outside.

Speak to my agent about plans for the book.

Have a ginger drink and a mango ๐Ÿฅญ.

Now am watching Silent Witness with Mum. We are having a Zoom dinner with my parental chums.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Under The Wig*

Look at all my wigs sitting on the top of my bookshelf ๐Ÿ“š.

Have a lovely long sleep and wake up at nine thirty this morning. Do Barre and work hard. One of Mum’s friends comes round and we sit in the garden. It is cold. Mum is thinking about purchasing a patio heater.

Cry a lot about my missing Fluffball. Send a message to my psychiatrist to call me.

Have lunch, meditate and sleep.

Wake up and have a bath ๐Ÿ›€.

It’s not five o’clock yet and it’s already dark. I miss my Fluffy.

Summer Of Salvia*

Work hard at Barre which is at ten o’clock this morning.

Then it is chemo. I have to have my blood tests and then wait around to get the results. Then I just have one of the chemo drugs but it still takes till 2.30pm.

Come home and sleep till five o’clock. Wake up and have my mango with some cereal and yoghurt.

Here is Hot Lips who still looks beautiful:

And Amistad:

Now hopefully we can watch a Silent Witness if we start before supper.

Happy Monday everyone!

Murder and The Horse Chestnut Tree*

This video doesn’t exist

Busy day yesterday. Up early to do my #astrochallenge post. Then bath ๐Ÿ›€ and breakfast.

Into the village with Mum to drop my new Taurus Sun And Mercury Tarot Business Cards at the hairdressers ๐Ÿ’‡๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ and beauticians. Even leave some in Boots ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ’Š and the opticians where I purchased my prescription sunglasses ๐Ÿ˜Ž.

Back for Barre ๐Ÿฉฐ which is a tough one: lots of legs, glutes and arms ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ.

Chat to my chums after class.

Zoom call with my psychiatrist. Mood remains cheerful and calm and so he is pleased with me. I’m so lucky to have such a wonderful psychiatrist who is humble and has really improved my life. I am so grateful for him: thank you Universe ๐ŸŒŒ.

Lunch in the garden: felafel and hummus in pitta ๐Ÿฅ™with salad, sweet corn ๐ŸŒฝ and avocado ๐Ÿฅ‘.

Sleep from two o’clock to half past four. Then to the house at what used to be the bottom of our garden. Fluffball comes with and does running and rolling – see above photos. I see my horse chestnut ๐ŸŒฐ tree which I planted from a conker aged eight. Thirty three years on it hasn’t yet flowered or fruited. I wonder why.

We walk home with Fluffball following us. He does a final roll in the dirt in the road, then comes in for his first supper.

Rafa is back! In Rome where he’s defending his title. He looks wonderful and plays like a dream, taking the first set 6 – 1 in what we call a Breadstick ๐Ÿฅ– due to poor Pablo Correno Busta taking just one game off our champion.

Have supper. By the end of supper, Rafa has taken the second set 6 – 1 and it’s a wrap. He’s on blistering form, our champion ๐Ÿ† ๐ŸŽพ ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ’“.

Go to bed to start rereading last draft of Memoir which intend to publish next: early next year.

Fluffball lies on my bed with me as I read and edit. I love my precious angel ๐Ÿ˜‡ ๐Ÿฑ.

Fall asleep after meditating and wake up this morning and pull today’s #astrotarotchallenge card.

Happy Thursday everyone!

*1993. True crime story. Murderer: Roger Severs.

Straight to Radlett Opticians at 9.15am to pick up new Prescription Sunglasses ๐Ÿ˜Ž I love them. Show you:

Can you see the little turquoise flashes ๐ŸŒฉ at the sides of the lenses.

We are the first and only people in the shop and I wear my visor. Am Good Girl.

Rush back for Barre but have to leave early because Chemo at twelve.

Take my blanket and a book I’m reviewing:

G-d it’s brilliant and hilarious and I love the typescript. I’m going to try to use it for my book: my agent has sent this to the designer:

Think it looks big and wide-margined and classy.

Chemo just takes two hours this time and don’t vomit ๐Ÿคฎ so that’s good. Am wrapped up in my furry blanket, reading and resting on my pillow.

Come home, say hello to parental friends in sunny ๐ŸŒž garden, sleep.

When I wake up, leave my room for a minute and when I return my bed is occupied:

This wild lion clambers about on my drawers, knocking things over:

Then he leaves, having knocked all the books ๐Ÿ“š off the shelf. He tries and fails to catch a moth.

Finally make it to sleep.

Wake up at 6.45am and make some coffee; do my #AstroTarotChallenge for the day and drink water with lemon ๐Ÿ‹ squash.

Today will be Pilates at Ten then Tennis ๐ŸŽพ- need to catch up on what’s left of the US Open.

Happy Tuesday everyone!

*2020. Comic novel by Matthew Sperling. Eagerly anticipated sequel to his attention-garnering debut novel Astroturf. Set in Berlin.

Wake up and reread my Astrology Diploma printed materials. Do my Tarot For Growth August card pull. Photograph the collared doves ๐Ÿ•Š, blue tits, starlings and wood pigeon:

Do Barre on Zoom at 10.30am and work really hard. Chat to my Barre chums afterwards.

Have lunch which is a barbecue with family outside. It’s wonderful.

Meditate and sleep ๐Ÿ˜ด. Wake up at 3.30pm and crack on with my Astrology Reading.

Achieve a couple of prospective new clients. Just waiting for them to pay before I do their readings.

The textbooks for my course arrive:

Start reading The Twelve Houses and it is fascinating but the writing is tiny. Am going to save it till my lectures start as we may well just have to read and note some chapters.

Crack on with reading my Astrology Diploma printed materials, noting my placements and transits. I love Astrology So Much ๐Ÿ’“ ๐ŸŒŒ ๐Ÿ’ซ ๐ŸŒ’ ๐ŸŒž ๐Ÿช ๐Ÿ”ฎ.

Have my bath ๐Ÿ›€. Fluffball comes in at six o’clock and we have supper at eight o’clock, after I’ve done some more work.

Here is my little altar:

I salvaged some crystals ๐Ÿ’Ž, my Lego Tarot Reader ๐ŸŽด ๐Ÿง™โ€โ™€๏ธ ๐Ÿ”ฎ from the flat.

We have supper at eight o’clock after I’ve done a couple more hours of reading Astrology.

Another book arrives for my course:

Am excited to read this one: Ptolemy’s Tetrabiblos.

Go to bed at eight forty five pm; meditate and sleep; wake up and write this. Today we’re going to Whipsnade ๐Ÿฏ๐ŸฆŠ๐Ÿฆ“๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿฆ™๐Ÿฆ’๐Ÿฆ›๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ…๐ŸฆŒ. Excited.

Happy Tuesday everyone!
