Find You First*

Wake up crying about my ex-boss being dead. I have Bad Janet Days sometimes, just not as often as before. My darling ex-colleague whom I haven’t seen since the funeral comes round and we have flat whites and salted caramel chocolate 🍫 brownies from Costa with orange melon 🍈 and coffee ice cream 🍨.

It’s warm – twenty degrees – and sunny 🌞 and we sit in the garden 🪴 on a blanket.

Then she helps me with my bath 🛁 and puts a new dressing on my radiotherapy burn.

We talk about old times and I do a Tarot Reading for her face to face. I can hardly remember anything and then keep looking in the book 📖. I will stick to online readings until I have had more face-to-face practise. On the plus side the cards gave a resounding Yes! Go for it! to her question about whether or not to do something life-changing so that is good.

Meditate 🧘‍♀️ but can’t sleep. Get up and talk to brother briefly and then Suzy whilst she is on a long drive to deepest South London.

Mum comes to get me from flat and we change my sheets as it’s hot in the flat at night and I sweat all over them. I put the heating down at night but the temperature even with no hearing is about twenty degrees.

Do a wash and hang the clothes on the airer when I wake up from my sleep. Put dishwasher on and take out rubbish and recycling before I go.

Arrive home to find Fluffball in the front garden. Mum calls him but he doesn’t come in and vanishes.

Have my supper: toasted goat cheese and pesto sandwich 🥪 with raw spinach.

Mum goes out again to look for Fluffball and finds him in the hedge. She rattles his food bowl and he does running to get to his supper. Thank G-d. I was worried that he’d gone missing again.

Now am back in bed under my summer blanket which is dark purple velvet.

On the not-plus-side I have cystitis so will have to get something to treat it with tomorrow.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Salvador Dali Murder*

Spitfire looking out of my window this morning.
My new Naomi Osaka tennis shoes from Nike. I adore them.
My beloved Salvador Dali Tarot deck which I don’t use much but used yesterday.
Spitfire on my bed yesterday morning.

So, yesterday, I wake up at five o’clock in the morning after sleeping from 9.45pm. Woke up feeling tired. Wrote a list of Things To Eat When You’re Not Hungry for Memoir.

Worked hard at Personal Training and my biceps hurt now.

Tidy my room as I do everyday but it always becomes messy quickly. I have Too Much Stuff in here. On the plus side, Mum’s friend who works at the Oxfam bookshop takes away three boxes of books 📚.

Have made space for all my new Astrology and Tarot books.

Have lunch, meditate and sleep. Wake up and Mum helps me with my bath.

Have supper at five o’clock by which time I’m exhausted. Go back to bed after supper and fall asleep, ten minutes into my astrology course. That’s two weeks after three that I’ve missed now. The course is repeated on every other Saturday so I am going to try an all-day Saturday one next.

Happy Friday everyone!

Understanding The Tarot Court*

Zoom Seder is lovely: we see our friends for the pre-dinner service and then have our eggs 🥚 in salt 🧂 water 💧. My supper is aubergine 🍆 and goat 🐐 cheese with roast potatoes 🥔 and parsley 🌿, followed by chocolate mousse which I love but rarely eat.

Sleep from nine o’clock till nine o’clock, then have breakfast and go back to sleep 😴 till twelve o’clock. Have lunch 🥗 which is cottage cheese, avocado 🥑 and salad followed by chocolate mousse.

Finish Tarot And Astrology. Now have Understanding The Tarot Court by Mary K. Greer and Tom Little to get my teeth 🦷 into next.

Watch the first episode of Series Three of Shtisel and OMG 😱 😭 💔. Look forward to bingeing the Series: it’s just nine episodes.

Fluffball and Mum help me with my bath 🛁 and now Fluffball is curled up in the middle of my bed 🛏 sleeping. He’s such a precious angel 😇.

Mum does my toenails – they’re burgundy: ready to get out in the twenty degree sunshine 🌞 we’re expecting!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Murder In The Bath*

Do Pilates and then Katie from Mind visits. We sit in the garden in the freezing cold.

Have lunch, meditate and sleep. Have some coffee and some stewed apple. Print out some handouts for my Astrology Diploma. Now I am watching Ratched. It’s so good. Need to have a bath 🛀.

Tomorrow am going to RHS Wisley with Mum. Will take lots of photos of the flowers.

Do some crying about Fluffball earlier and so does Mum and then we agree that we are going to try not to be sad about him anymore. In January, if he has not returned, we will go to Ragdoll Rescue and find a new cat to love.

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Memoirs Of A Porcupine*

Wake up at 7.30am and catch the end of Stan’s match. He beats Medvedev in five sets. At eight o’clock Rafa and Nick Kyrgios come on. It’s a tense match but Rafa squeaks through in four sets.

Go for a walk in the sunshine 🌞.

Today’s card is Libra ♎️ from my Minchiate Etruria deck. This deck has 97 cards which include 41 Major Arcana – 21 Triumphs somewhat similar to the usual Major Arcana and 12 Zodiac Signs , 4 Elements and 4 Theological Virtues.

So in Libra ♎️ we can see the scales ⚖️ and a Wolf 🐺 balances on top of them. In front there is a large porcupine. Porcupine is a fire 🔥 symbol and is connected with the sun 🌞 and its energies. A warrior spirit, porcupine operates out of a place of innocence, respect and love. This makes their actions pure and harbours positive heart 💓 energy. Porcupine opens doors to magical abilities and powers and is also a symbol of peace ☮️.

Wolf 🐺 is a spirit of guardianship, loyalty, ritual and spirit. This Wolf I think represents the one who raised Romulus and Remus. Wolf has the ability to make quick and firm emotional attachments and often need to trust her own instincts. They teach us to do the same: to trust our hearts ♥️ and minds and to have control over our own minds.

Have lunch, meditate and sleep. Put a wash on and have a bath 🛀. Now am waiting for Suzy to visit. Haven’t seen her for ages. Am watching the Women’s Downhill 🎿 ⛷ ❄️.

Happy Monday everyone!

When Heroes Fly*

Wake up at five o’clock this morning and start watching When Heroes Fly.

Pull a card for the day:

It’s The Hierophant: the card for my sign, Taurus. Also the card of teachers.

Wash hair in bath😆 🛀.

Meet @MadeByMaggie for lunch. It is lovely to see her.

Come home and unload washing machine and hang clothes on the airer . Then have sleep. My cleaner has been and flat is clean and tidy. Am curled up on my sofa drinking lemon 🍋 squash.

Watching When Heroes Fly and looking forward to walk with Dolly tomorrow and to seeing my Fluffball. Going to have an early night. Am looking forward to it.

Happy Monday everyone!

Blood Of Gemini*

It’s 5.10pm. Have been sleeping. The fluffy monster is sleeping under my bed where he’s been since one o’clock. Naughty fluffy monster.

Meet my new client today. She weighs about 3kg, less than half the weight of the fluffy monster. Have to cuddle her for an hour twice a week. It’s gruelling work: don’t know how am going to force self to do it…

The attached photo is New Chap’s beautiful Malamute.

Am going to get up now and help Mum with the jigsaw.

Have achieved a bath today, before lunch.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Suspect*

Do OK at first Spin class since accident. Neck and head hurt and both ankles feel a bit delicate but don’t do too badly. Here is graph:

Then go for a walk with Jasmine, an Alsatian chum and her owner. She can catch a flying frisbee. Here she is:

We have a long walk round the fields at the back of the rugby club. There’s still some snow and ice in the car park there.

Have been sleeping.

The good news is that Agent loves the Memoir and has just given me a few edits to do, so have started that today: have edited up to Chapter 9.

The fluffy monster is behind my chair:

You can see him stepping over the shoebox of my new Hobbs heels.

Hopefully soon it will be suppertime, after my bath. Am hungry.

The attached photo is with The Master and my instructor at Spin.

Happy Thursday everyone!

Purr M For Murder*

Do OK at Spin. Here is graph:

Must try harder and spend more time in the yellow zone.

Go out for lunch with Hannah at Pizza Express which is OK but they’ve taken our favourite things off the menu: Bosco Salad, Melanzane Parmigiana and aubergine Pizza. Also they charge us £4.35 for a bottle of San Pellegrino fizzy water. So we’re disappointed.

Have a sleep and wake up and post a couple of pictures on Instagram and that’s been my day really.

Last night the fluffy monster helps me with my bath. Show you:

Mum has just taken him to the vet to be weighed and vet is pleased as his weight has gone down from 7.3kg to 7.1kg although apparently it needs to be 6.5kg, so we’ve still got a way to go.

The parentals are going out now so am going to watch some of the new series of Peaky Blinders which have been recording.

Happy Thursday everyone!

*2017. By T C LoTempio. A Cat Rescue Mystery, Volume 1. Starring Sydney McCall and Toby the orange cat. Set in North Carolina.

Death In A Chocolate Box*

Have spent most of the day watching Midsomer Murders with this person and knitting.  He came in of his own volition about four o’clock so didn’t have to go out looking for him, which is good.  Parentals have been out all day but are back now.

Chocolate consumption has gone up since Stopping Drinking, as part of what one is addicted to in alcohol is the sugar.  Dad brought some lovely chocolate back from Switzerland so have been enjoying that.

Have started a new scarf: Mum is sewing up the first one so can give it to Boss as a present since am leaving her to start New Job at the Bookshop at the start of April.
Psychologist is pleased with me this morning, so that’s good.

See this blossom on the walk back to the parental home from the station:

Have just achieved a bath and soon it will be supper time.  Think supper will be scrambled eggs.

Happy Wednesday everyone!
