The Way Through The Woods*

Sleep from 8.30pm all the way through to 5.45am.

At breakfast time, give Fluffball his second breakfast:

Edit the first hundred pages of my novel.

Rest.

Watch an episode of Inspector Morse whilst knitting.

Have managed some eating today: toast with lemon curd for breakfast; a ginger biscuit; some pineapple ๐Ÿ; toast with cottage cheese and avocado ๐Ÿฅ‘ for lunch; baked potato ๐Ÿฅ” with cottage cheese for supper.

Now am going back to bed.

Have to be better by tomorrow as am walking my darling Dolly. Looking forward to seeing her very much.

Fluffball is sleeping on the piano stool. Dad is at chess โ™Ÿ; Mum is at literary society ๐Ÿ“š. Looking forward to returning to bed in a minute.

Haven’t been sick again since yesterday lunchtime which is good.

Happy Monday everyone!

Death Is Now My Neighbour*

Wake up at 3am. Finish reading the first Knaussgard book A Death In The Family. It’s wonderful. Looking forward to reading the other books in the series now.

Curled up under my furry blanket on the sofa watching Morse and drinking Diet Coke.

Don’t feel well at Barre and only manage half the class.

Dad picks me up and drives me back to the flat.

Watch Andyืณs match from yesterday, then Stan’s semi-final then Andy’s semi-final. Tomorrow’s final is Stan vs Andy. Am looking forward to it.

Need to unpack suitcase ๐Ÿงณ and bags from holiday but they can wait till tomorrow.

Have a sleep this afternoon which helps a bit. Very tired. Will probably go to bed soon.

Happy Saturday everyone!

*1996. By Colin Dexter. The twelfth Inspector Morse novel.

Breakpoint*

Film Chap comes round to watch Rafa’s Match with me. It is lovely to see him: he’s so sweet and kind. He looks after me as the momentum swings away from Rafa who takes the first two sets towards Medvedev. Am anxious, nervous, worried when he leaves at 12am as twenty three year old Daniil Medvedev takes the third.

Watch Medvedev level the match by taking the fourth. This isn’t in the script. We enter the fifth. Rafa looks exhausted as Medvedev plays out of his skin.

Meditate, sleep, wake up at 3am and check phone. Rafa takes the fifth set 6 – 4 to win his Nineteenth Grand Slam Title

He’s just one behind Roger on Twenty now. He swipes the Number One ranking back from Novak. Here are some stats:

So I think we can all agree that Rafa is the second goat ๐Ÿ after Roger. In exciting news: the Laver Cup where Rafa and Roger play doubles together for Team Europe is on Amazon Prime too from 20th September. Can’t wait! ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’“๐ŸŽพ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ญ

Here’s this morning’s collage:

Here’s our US Open Champion – the fourth time he’s won this title:

Rafa is already back home in Mallorca – see above:

We can contact the Spirit Of Lady Thatcher to find out what she thinks about Brexit – see above.

Look at this amazing leopard ๐Ÿ† and snake ๐Ÿ picture:

Go back to sleep from 3am till 5.30am. Pull Mermaid ๐Ÿงœ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ and dolphin ๐Ÿฌ ๐ŸŒŠ Cards for the day:

Spend the day in bed – have a short sleep this morning – other than a short walk at 11.30am to purchase more Diet Coke. Have lunch ๐Ÿฅ— then afternoon sleep.

Wake up and finish rereading Hungry For More by Melissa Wells which is this month’s set book ๐Ÿ“– for the Goddess Collective Module on Intuitive Eating:

Am sad that the tennis is over. Find Inspector Morse on the ITV hub and am going to watch an episode now then return to bed. Am under my duvet on the sofa. Am exhausted.

Happy Monday everyone!
